Wendell Miller

In March of 2003, Wendell Miller founded Renewal Homes with a vision of designing and building personalized homes tailored to each client. Guided by his motto, “Adding Life to Your Future,” Wendell is committed to creating homes that are not only beautiful and inspiring, but also highly functional for everyday living.


With more than 18 years of involvement in the Builders Association of North Central Indiana—including service on the board—Wendell brings deep industry knowledge and leadership to every project. He holds several nationally recognized designations, including Certified Green Builder, Certified Green Remodeler, and Certified Green Professional.


At the core of Wendell’s work is a dedication to efficiency, functionality, and exceptional quality—ensuring every home is thoughtfully designed to enhance the lives of those who live in it.

Dezaray Vanhouten

Interior Designer

Dezaray, graduated from Judson University in Interior Design and minored in Architectural Studies. Her passion is to help clients make selections less stressful. She is available to assist interior and exterior color and design selections as much or as little as needed.

Casey Kline

Project Manager

Casey came to Renewal Homes with a many years of experience in excavation. He brings a down to earth, hardworking attitude to every job he works. He spends time on each job site interacting with clients, field staff and subcontractors. He diligently strives to deliver quality and a positive customer experience.

Christine Brown

Office Manager

Christine serves as the office manger. Her strong organizational and communication skills are valuable assets as she coordinates She handles budget tracking, project timelines and selection ordering. Before coming to Renewal Homes she worked in marketing and finance.

Craig Bontrager

Construction Foreman

Craig has over 40 years of experience in residential construction. He has expertise in framing and mechanical layout stages of a home build. Craig also oversees subcontractors on jobsites.

Bryce Knepp

Field Laborer

Bryce has been with Renewal Homes for over 5 years. He enjoys getting to know the clients to provide a positive experience. His attention to detail allows for a high quality completion of projects.

Phil Bieri

Field Laborer

Phil brings a passion for detail and precision to the jobsites. He focuses of providing high quality workmanship. Phil came to Renewal from Grace College Maintenance.

Q: When should I contact a builder?

A: Renewal Homes is a design/build company, meaning that we can handle the building process from design through the completion of the project. We can start working with a client even before they are sure of what they want. Wendell wants to hear your hopes and expectations of your future home so he can help you think through options and make sure your home is not simply custom, but personalized.

Q: What if I've already found the floor plan I want?

A: Great! Bring it along to your first visit with Wendell and he'll walk through it with you. Maybe it's perfect the way it is...or maybe it needs to be tweaked to make it just-right for you.

Q: Do I have to have property to get started?

A: It's helpful, but not necessary. We have relationships with great realtors in the area and can help you make necessary connections to find a great spot to build. And once you've settled on a build site, we will visit to assist you in getting the most out of your location.

Q: What if I am looking for a renovation/addition?

A: Lets get started! If you’re happy with the things you can’t change about your home, the neighborhood, the view, the school district, and the drive to work, then additions and remodel projects are a great option.

A: Our offices are located at 501 Argonne Road, in Warsaw.

My husband and I were very nervous and excited to build our home we plan to be forever and met with a few builders before we chose Renewal. I had a vision of what I wanted and my husband had a budget he wanted to stick with. Wendell spent months with us tweaking our blueprint trying to get all my wants while being cautious about budget. He took time to get to know us and not just what we wanted in a house but why that is what would work for our family. The whole process was smooth and actually went so fast once we broke ground.
